About Coach Charlie

Coach Charlie’s journey in lacrosse reflects his passion and dedication to the sport, both as a player and now as a coach. As a recent graduate from Dominican University in San Rafael, CA, Coach Charlie has a solid educational background that contributes to his coaching. His experiences as a student-athlete provided him with not only the technical skills of lacrosse but also important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and time management.

Transitioning into a full-time lacrosse coach in Marin County, Coach Charlie is establishing his reputation in the community. His involvement in various roles—

• ADVNC Lacrosse coach

• Director of Coaching for San Rafael LC Blue Jays 

• Head coach for the girls’ team at San Rafael High School

By founding One Percent Lacrosse, Charlie aims to instill the philosophy of continuous improvement in young players. This concept emphasizes that small, consistent efforts can lead to significant progress over time. His coaching methodology focuses on developing both fundamental skills and a growth mindset.

Coach Charlie’s personal experience of training outside of regular practice—arriving early to focus on dodging and shooting mechanics—illustrates his understanding of the value of extra work.
